Values/uses

  -habitat values

  -amenity/ornamental     values

A lovely grass that could be used for stunning colour and texture effects with other annuals and herbaceous perennials.

  -economic/functional     values

Very useful coloniser of bare ground, rapid response to summer rain, reported to have good forage value for stock. Would make an excellent roadside coloniser. Low biomass would make it a potential inter-row cover in woody perennial crops such as citrus and grapes.
