 weather news

The rainfall over the second half of summer and into autumn was less intense than the preceding few months but there were still some good falls over many areas. It seems that the La Ninia event that brought the heavy rains is now petering out and it remains to be seen whether it strengthens again next season, switches to an El Nino or remains neutral. In any case there is high soil moisture levels which should see a good seed production season regardless.

Last summer's heavy rainfall has also brought about a big response from many eucalyptus species. Some species have not fruited well for several years but the signs are good with heavy bud crops on many species.
